Resolution: Health professionals involved in detainee torture may face prosecution

LOS ANGELES - After hearing testimony from physicians, nurses and other health professionals, Democratic members of the Senate Committee on Business, Professions and Economic Development voted unanimously to pass a resolution that requires all California health boards to notify their licensees that those who participate in torture or punishment of detainees in U.S. custody may face prosecution.
