FDA pulls the plug on kids’ cold medicines

Over-the-counter (OTC) cough and cold medicines have been used for decades by many parents to ease the discomfort of their children. In fact, consumers purchase about 95 million such medicines each year, and 39 percent of U.S. households have purchased them in the past three years.
