Both sides should speak on Sunni-Shia divide

I read the article entitled “Sunni-Shia divide discussed at campus temple” in last month’s issue of InFocus. I think in a matter which involves both Sunni and Shia, there should be speakers from both parties and not only one. It only seems fair that way. If there actually was a Shia speaker but it was not reported in the article, I would consider that a shortcoming of InFocus newspaper. I believe a newspaper is an important tool in informing the public and should be free of favoritism. The public wants the truth, and it should be delivered to them with no fear.

Editor’s Note:  There were no other speakers invited by the organizers of the event.  News articles published in InFocus report objectively with the purpose of informing readers without bias.
Thank you!

I just wanted to say thank you for a really excellent article I came across on the Web recently, “Religious extremism, the scourge of true faith,” (InFocus, July 2007). It’s timeless. I wish every Christian in the USA would read it.

Sincerely,
