By definition, Muslims are charitable. A hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) points out that "charity is incumbent on every Muslim." So why do Muslim organizations appear to be struggling to pay the electricity bill every month?

While it is difficult to address all of these issues in the space we have, here are some guidelines on how your organization can raise funds more effectively by utilizing the generosity that is a part of the Muslim way of life and bring out the best in both the organization and the donor:
