What’s new in pediatric vaccines

Vaccination of children remains the most important tool the pediatrician has against many preventable infectious diseases. Thanks to vaccines, even common childhood illnesses like chicken pox are much less common today. In 2006, the American Academy of Pediatrics approved four new vaccines for children to further reduce the burden of disease.
