Talk draws examples from Prophet’s life Print E-mail
By ZEYAD MAASARANI, Staff Writer

LOS ANGELES – Shaikh Faraz Rabbani of the online SunniPath academy spoke to a rapt audience of 70 in a three-day program examining the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions, drawing lessons from their examples and applying practical solutions to today’s hectic lifestyle.

The event, from Sept. 7-9, was entitled "Living the Light."

Rabbani, who lives in Toronto, Canada, is also the author of "The Absolute Essentials of Islam" and a contributor to the Internet web log Seekers Digest, addressed Islamic issues that are contentious in both the public sphere and the private, ranging from money and social dealings to marriage.

Attendee Milad Ershaghi, 27 of Claremont said he appreciated Rabbani’s presence. Esherghi’s wife said Rabbani’s emphasis on religion being not just about worship but also about social relations, kindness and tolerance was right on the mark.
