Great interest in Islam is shown at book festival Print E-mail
By InFocus News Staff

WESTWOOD, Calif. – InFocus participated as an exhibitor in America’s largest book festival on April 26-27, distributing free copies of the newspaper, answering questions about the organization, and giving away prizes and promotional materials

The 13th annual Los Angeles Times Festival of Books was held on the campus of UCLA, and attracted about 140,000 people who love to read, according to event organizers.

WhyIslam, a project of the Islamic Circle of North America, answered questions about Islam from visitors to their two booths. The group gave out free literature and distributed more than 4,000 free copies of the Qur’an to anyone who wanted to study the Muslim holy book, according to Shahid Ali, coordinator for WhyIslam.
