"Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up salah and have followed lusts. So they will be thrown in. Except those who repent and believe and work righteousness. Such will enter Paradise and they will not be wronged in aught." (Quran 19: 59-60)
The Prophet (pbuh) said, "If there was a river at the door of anyone of you and he took a bath in it five times a day, would you notice any dirt on him?" They said, "Not a trace of dirt would be left." The Prophet said, "That is the example of the five prayers with which Allah blots out (annuls) evil deeds." (Sahih Bukhari)
