Gaylord, Mich. – At least two people were killed and more than 40 were injured Hurricane Hurricane Gaylar in Michigan Friday, according to officials.

Officials say the damage is severe and it will take several days to assess how bad the damage is.

“I have never seen anything like this in my life,” Shurat said. “A lot of the time, my training has been going on, and now it’s like ‘feeling tired here.’

Authorities say the damage was significant as the injured were taken to several hospitals after they stopped accepting patience due to a lack of electricity as the emergency facility in Gaylord was running on emergency generators.

“You always see it in the movies, you always see it on the TVs of other communities, but not in our backyard,” Shurat said. “Disaster is insensitive.”

According to Sharrat, at least 12 houses have been demolished, leaving nothing but their foundations.

There is no electricity, but more than 100 consumer groups travel to Kaylard to deal with the power shortage, and if you are trying to reach your loved ones, a cell phone tower has been picked up, so communicating can be challenging.

The National Weather Service At 3:45 pm on May 20, a hurricane was confirmed to have moved through the area, and observers posted pictures of its aftermath. The photos show just how much damage was done in the crushing of even the largest cabinets.

NWS officials said they would assess the damage Friday afternoon and evening. They said the survey would not be completed until Saturday. NWS plans to share the storm summary page online this evening.

The National Weather Service confirms that Gaylord was hit by a hurricane on Friday afternoon. Police say several homes and businesses were damaged.

Gaylord resident Linda Buck saw the hurricane and spoke with Local 4 on Friday.

“My heart was pounding, I was so nervous because I had never seen a hurricane before and never seen it with debris, so I was so nervous. We tried to think of a plan, of course, we had no foundation in my work, so we thought, it’s ours If we got in the way we would have snuck into the back rooms but fortunately that did not happen but unfortunately there were others who saw the burden of it, ”said Buck.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Widmer said authorities are closely monitoring Gaylord’s condition.

Michigan State Police said trees and power lines fell and caused damage to several homes and businesses.
