Johnny Depp v Amber Hert On Wednesday, the defamation suit was temporarily lost for words after he showed the court a pre-recorded confession in front of the doorstep of a home where he was driving and moaning as he spoke.
Alejandro described Romero’s testimony as “first” and ordered the court to break up for lunch as soon as the video was played.
Romero, who worked in the Los Angeles apartment building where Depp and Heard lived together, heard the jury laugh throughout the recording, describing the moment he interrogated the intruder he believed was a dog.
Romero described a search of the property after Hert reported an itch on the door.
“They were talking about someone trying to break into their unit, and in my head ‘Do you think someone is trying to break into your unit?’ I said that, “Romero said. “Your door has scratches four inches above the floor. It was the dog that tried to enter your unit.
“They were so scared – I actually went. They actually told me to go into the unit to check the room to make sure no one was there.
Romero added that he did the search because it was part of his job, but “I do not understand why they should do this to me.”
At one point he expressed his frustration with the case, and said he was “so depressed” and “did not want to deal with it further.”
After the video, Asgart told the court, “This is a good time for a lunch break.” Then she took off her glasses and raised her eyebrows and shook her head to the side.
After a long pause, she added: “Okay… that’s it first, sorry.”
Heard’s lawyer, Elaine Bradhoft, replied: “I would say your honor is the most bizarre confession …”
Ascart cut her off and raised her hands and said: “Yes, well, I have to say I have never seen her. I’ve seen a lot of things, but I never saw it.
