In Connecticut, 2 officers were shot and killed, and another was seriously injured

Two police officers were shot and another was critically injured in an officer-involved shooting in Bristol on Wednesday night. Connecticut State Police declared.

Police are yet to release details about the incident, and it is unclear which department the officers belong to. Local media reports The shooting happened in a residential area on Wednesday night. State police responded to the scene after reports of shots fired by police around 11 p.m

The state police asked for prayers for the families of the slain officers and for the hospitalized officer.

“It stopped for 30 seconds and then another round of ‘pop pop pop pop pop pop’ and then it stopped. [we] Started hearing sirens and everything,” eyewitness Ted Krawiec told Channel 3.

“3 officers shot dead in Bristol [officer-involved shooting]. We are still working diligently to gather accurate information From our investigators and all that is involved. We will provide a press conference as soon as we can. Again, please be patient as the scene is still very active and fluid,” state police wrote in an earlier statement.
